Celtic Band is a close-knit group of friends who share a passion for creating great music together. They thrive on performing at barn dances and ceilidhs, bringing a lively spark that elevates every celebration. Originally formed to raise funds for young people with Special Needs, the band has since become a popular choice for a wide variety of events and clients.
Celtic Band has performed at countless weddings and birthday parties, and they are frequently invited to play Burns Night ceilidhs for organisations keen to honour their Scottish heritage. Their energetic style adds a punch to traditional Scottish tunes, and they are widely praised for the vibrant atmosphere they bring to every performance. Known for injecting extra excitement into the dances, they often pick up the tempo to keep guests on their toes—adding a playful, competitive twist to the fun.
When available, their singer enhances the programme with a set of Scottish songs, which is always a crowd favourite.
The band has enjoyed performing at an array of venues, with notable highlights including The Institute of Directors on Pall Mall, The London Scottish Building, The Royal Horseguards Hotel, The Honourable Artillery Company, and Brighton College.

There were many groups of people there who didn’t know each other, and a ceilidh was an ideal way of joining in and interacting with each other. Celtic Band played a good selection of scottish-type ceilidh numbers. Some people found the dancing in the first half a bit hard to follow – but in a way that added to the fun. Celtic Band did adjust their style in the second half to make it easier to follow. In all, they made a great contribution to everyone’s enjoyment of the night.”
