“Thank you for your call last week. Please pass on an enormous thanks to the team at Alive Network and Hipster for their fabulous performance at The Blush Ball 2007. Hipster were on great form and I have never seen a dance floor fill so quickly - they really are fantastic. Thank you for all of your help in booking them and getting them all there on time etc. As always Alive Network is such an efficient set up and takes so much of the hassle out of booking a band. Please pass huge thanks on to them. The Blush Ball was a wonderful evening and much enjoyed by our guests. We are thrilled to announce that the final total is in excess of £207,000, which is significantly more than we hoped to raise. Emily Maitlis was a very glamorous host, Rory Bremner had everyone rolling in their seats and then went on to run a very successful auction. Guests were entertained by a fashion show from Ben de Lisi, an outstanding performance by Jack Savoretti and Kim Medcalf's stunning performance as Sally Bowles from Cabaret. All before Cabaret took the Museum by storm!! Breast Cancer Haven receives no government funding and we rely totally on events such as The Blush Ball and donations to continue funding our vital service and to be able to build new Havens nationwide, so your support really is hugely appreciated. Breast Cancer Haven supports the physical and emotional needs of anyone affected by breast cancer. At what is often a frightening and lonely time, the Haven is a place any patient can visit, free of charge, to receive support, counselling and complementary therapies all under one roof. Our doors are open to anyone affected by breast cancer, whether it be the patient themselves or their friends and loved ones who often need support and information to enable them to cope with the far-reaching effects of this illness. With your support we are one step closer to our aim of opening the third Haven in Leeds by 2008, and ultimately to being able to provide our unique combination of support and therapy to every person in the UK affected by this terrible illness. “I can only say FANTASTIC!!!! The guys were superb and everyone loved them, everyone danced all night and wanted more even at 1.00 am but sadly the hotel told us they had to stop! “Just wanted to say that myself and Rob thought that Hipster were the icing on the cake at our wedding. Our wedding day had gone perfectly and their two performances certainly made the night end on a high. Many of our guests have commented on just how fantastic they were - not just at revving up the crowd but also in their professionalism and varied set list. There is nothing better than seeing older generations of your family jumping up and down alongside your friends to the Arctic Monkeys or doing the hand actions to Hey Ya! The band managed to pull off so many different styles of song with ease that they appealed to the whole room and no one wanted them the finish - least of all us. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and hope that you will pass on our thanks for helping to make our wedding such a special day. Hipster were simply brilliant!! Since the wedding we have continually had compliments from guests about our choice of band. “I wonder if you could just pass on to the band our thanks for doing such a fantastic job. Since we got back from honeymoon everyone has been saying that they were just the best . They really kept the party going and were great characters and obviously very talented musicians. We have had so many people comment on how brilliant they were - and Andrew and I particularly loved the final 'I love you Baby' track with everyone dancing around us in a circle. “The band - well they were nothing short of FANTASTIC!! I don't know if i told you, but we saw them a few years ago at a friend's wedding and said to each other then if we do get married we are having Hipster... sure enough we did and we booked them with you. As always things were running over time on the day but they soon got set up and they were off.... belting out all the classics and being very tolerant to my wanna-be-a-singer-in-a-band husband and his mates!! They literally rocked the place and all our friends and family have been saying what a great band they were; where can they book them etc. - so suffice to say they rocked!! “Hi Gemma We are finally back off our honeymoon and so I now have an opportunity to write to you to give you some feedback on Hipster. Hipster were absolutely amazing, fantastic, superb.....I need more adjectives to describe how brilliant they were!!! They really made our wedding a very special day and everyone commented on just how great they were and a packed dance floor was proof of this! All the guys were extremely professional and even when we had a power cut, they kept the crowds going with a drumming solo!!
